Welcome to Susan Wilcox's webpage. Chadwick (my husband) and I look like this when we're sitting on weeds in a park:

Right now, I'm a calm and collected Communications Assistant for BikeTexas by day, which is really a fancy way of saying that I spend my entire day on Twitter. Most of my day, anyway. I also write emails and post articles on the BikeTexas website, and sometimes decipher the comments that people leave on our Facebook page. (Sometimes, that is, because most of them are quite understandable to begin with.)

By night, I'm a second-semester online Technical Communications Master's student at Texas Tech University, which is really a fancy way of saying that I spend most of my time confused beyond belief and pretending to know what I'm doing. (I'm sure that's not true of my fellow students; this is all me.)

Before I started getting paid to tweet and going around in perma-confusion, I was a non-traditional student at the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a BA in Rhetoric and Writing at about the same time that my high school classmates started earning their PhDs in all sorts of exciting things. But please don't think I regret taking the non-trad route. On the contrary, I wouldn't change a thing.

I came to UT from Lubbock, where I was the billing supervisor at the Wound Care Center. It's likely that I will return to the medical field someday once I have a shiny MA in my portfolio.

I grew up in Indiana. It looks like this:

And then for a few years I lived in Glasgow, Scotland, which looks like this:

You'll note the common theme in these pictures. I moved to Texas entirely for meteorological reasons.

Thank you for visiting!
